FSSAI Registration
The Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 says that FSSAI Registration is required for a food business to lawfully function in India.
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) gives it out, and all small food firms with minimal sales must have it.
This registration makes sure that the food that is made, processed, stored, distributed, or sold fulfills the Government of India's health and safety regulations.
Only small firms can get FSSAI Registration. If you have a bigger unit, you need an FSSAI State License or Central License.
Who Should Register with FSSAI?
Any small food firm that makes up to ₹12 lakhs a year must get FSSAI Basic Registration.
This includes:
✅ Kitchens at home
✅ Small companies that make food
✅ Small stores and traders
✅ Kitchens in the cloud
✅ Small food sellers
✅ Bakers at home
✅ Little storage spaces

✅ Anyone who works with food at any point, whether it's processing, packing, distributing, or selling, needs to sign up.
